On November 8, 1967, Val was called home from School at 9:30 in the morning, along with 3 other siblings that attend the same elementary school. They were taken home by the school Principal and the nurse.
Upon arriving home they were told that their dad had murdered their mother and himself. This tragic event in Val's life would become one of her teaching elements in helping others overcome negative issues in their own lives.
Val has been sharing her story since 1983, after she heard a story of how a woman and her husband forgave their five year old daughter's rapist and murderer. The woman's story helped Val see the need to forgive her dad for what he did.
Since those days, Val has created a program called "Roadblock." The Roadblock program has helped many people of all ages and from all walks of life to see the need to take down their roadblocks and move on with their life in a positive manner. Finding their destiny.
